GoogleYoutube, GoogleMyspace: Google Bought Youtube for $1.65 Billion

The rumors have been out for weeks now. The Silicon Valley blog Techcrunch.com author has already written about the talks. Google and YouTube are not willing to comment on the news. Many analysts think that the two companies are a good match. Mountain View-based Google and San Mateo-based YouTube are at some sensitive stage in the discussion. The Wall- Street Journal and the New York Times have already reported on the companies' talks last week.

Everyone knows that YouTube is the big dog in user-generated videos. And Google does not need any presentation here. It is the leader in search technology software, adsense advertising and other softwares. The question to ask is where Google's competitors will be. Yahoo will have to do something drastic to stay on top. How about MSN? Poor MSN! Google can rely on all the billions it has in its coffer. Let us not put MSN to the side yet. It has money too. But it can not find sweet deals. Google got to serve its search tech and advertising on MySpace since last August. News Corp. entered the contract with Google. Everywhere and anythere people are gathering, Google wants to be there. It has something to offer. It alaready has AOL and many other high-traffic sites.
